A Comparative Study on the Influencing Factors of Online Chinese Learners' Demotivation:#br# Two Universities in Yunnan Province as an Example

Abstract:  Taking 287 online Chinese learners from universities A and B in Yunnan Province as the research objects, this paper
adopts quantitative and qualitative research methods, factor analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, analysis of variance and other
means to explore the main influencing factors of online Chinese learners′ demotivation. The results verified that network class, teacher, courses and self are the factors that lead to the decline of learning motivation of Chinese learners in the universities A and B in Yunnan province. There are obvious differences in demotivation factors among learners of different language proficiency, different universities and different districts based on research results. Finally, specific suggestions are given to promote learning motivation of learners in two universities.
